Chameleon 0.9 – A quick and easy way to change your interface colors

Chameleon is a small app that brings these settings to your menu bar, making it much easier to customize your UI at any time. With this app, you can change the interface highlight and accent colors and switch between the Dark and Light UI modes with just one or two clicks.

Accessible interface color customization

There are two color settings that you can easily customize from the macOS system preferences: accent and highlight. The accent color changes the appearance of various UI elements, while the highlight color determines how something looks when it is highlighted.

When using Chameleon, these settings can be modified directly from the menu bar. All you have to do is click the app’s icon and select the button that indicates your preferred accent and highlight color. The latter is changed automatically when an accent color is picked, but it can be modified later on.

Switch between Dark and Light mode from the menu bar

In addition to making it easier to customize color settings, the app also provides you with a quicker way to switch between Dark and Light mode on macOS Mojave. Many users prefer a different mode at day and at night, but toggling between them isn’t that easy.

With Chameleon, you can just right-click the menu bar icon to perform the switch. Of course, you can also left-click the icon and make the selection from the UI, but this additional step is unnecessary.

Simple app that makes UI color customization easier

If you just can’t decide on an interface color combination and find yourself switching between several of them often, Chameleon can prove very helpful. It makes these settings a lot more accessible by putting them in your menu bar, while also allowing you to switch between Dark and Light mode with a single click.
